Closure of Mokugift after planting 460,000 trees

With deep regret we must announce that after 5 years of making it easy for anyone to plant a real tree for $1, we have decided that Mokugift and PlantMyPhone will cease operations.

We closed our office to reduce costs in January and worked remotely. We’ve pivoted our offering several times since launching, but the business hasn’t scaled enough to be self-sustainable.

The only thing that has kept Mokugift and PlantMyPhone operational this long has been corporate partners like Flipswap and CouchBase.
